Twins are done; Time to watch the Vikings

Now that the Twins are done playing for the year, I will spend more time covering the Minnesota Vikings. We pick up the Zigi feed at a pivotal point in the season. It is the fifth week of the NFL season and before tonight’s game the Vikings sit at 1-3 which is good for third place in the NFC North. A win tonight give the Vikings a 2-3 record and a share of second place with the Packers, right behind the division leading Bears with their 3-2 record. A loss put the Vikings at 1-4 and essentially ensures that they will remain in third place for much of the season. With all the money spend, and the talent on the Vikings this year, a position just in front of the Detriot Lions is not what most Vikings fans were expecting. I assume that they don’t want to stomach that position either. Either way this game will set the stage for the rest of the Vikings’ season.

Tonight the Vikings take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The game will be on ESPN and begins at 8:30 EST/7:30 CDT. The game is in New Orleans at the Super Dome and lets hope that this game won’t add to the Vikings’ road woes. Bush v. Peterson should make this game exciting.

Go Vikings!

Look for a game log later tonight about an hour before game time.
