I recently had an underwhelming food experience. Because I don’t have anything else of not to share I thought I’d pass along my experience. I needed a quick bite to eat between flights at the Atlanta Airport. I was going get some Chinese food, but was drawn in by the promise of delicious buffalo sauce at Great Wraps. So I opted to try the wrap place. I had the second worst buffalo chicken wrap I’ve ever had. To put this in perspective, the worst was still partially frozen in the middle. Now this wrap wasn’t in the ball park of being uneatable, but I was not happy at all.

I’m debating whether or not I should leave some feedback at their Contact Us Page. You be the judge.

Obviously you can see the buffalo wrap was dripping with sauce in the picture. How could I resist this advertising? Let me blow that picture up for you:

Seriously, doesn’t that wrap look freaking amazing? Being swayed by the impressive picture and marketing, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap.

Listen: I eat a ton of Buffalo Chicken Wraps. Perhaps too many, because apparently my standards seem to be high. But I enjoy these wraps so much, that quality is almost never an issue. Hell, I even liked the McDonald’s Buffalo Snack Wrap. But I do prefer to have a lot of sauce on my wraps; the hotter the better, right? So I asked the person at the register to make sure there was a lot of sauce on the wrap. I do this all of the time, and have never been charged for this request, but at Great Wrap I was charged 75 cents! I am happy to pay for extra sauce, but 75 cents is a ridiculous price especially considering that the wrap already cost almost 8 dollars. A quarter would have been fine, but 75 cents? I think not.

To make matters worse, when I finally got my wrap it had almost no sauce on it. I paid almost a dollar to have extra sauce, and I got none. Unacceptable. No ranch, no buffalo sauce, scant lettuce and cheese, the wrap was a disaster. The chicken wasn’t even hot. I’m just looking at me receipt right now, which I kept so I could remember what place I went to, and I wrote down what I thought their recipe for their fries was:

Stale + Terrible = Fries.

I know that doesn’t make any sense but it sums up the situation.

I just don’t get it. I routinely make a better Buffalo Chicken Wrap at home, in less time for less money. I mean it is not hard to make me happy; I’ll eat almost anything on a wrap so long as its smothered in buffalo sauce. Simply put I was not satisfied.

Wow I had no idea they had these here in DC:

But I ate at the location at the Atlanta Airport:

So faced with this type of situation what should I do? I might just go to one of the stores here in DC to see if the restaurant can redeem itself. That could be fun I guess. I’m leaning toward leaving some feedback, but now that I’ve written about it seems less important. Maybe I should just leave them a link to this post?

Oh and remember that Chinese food? My wife got it, and it was amazingly delicious.

I made my self two delicious buffalo wraps when I got home. I should just pay myself $9.24 every time I do that. At least I deserve it.
