Photos: CP to Georgia Avenue, U Street, and Up Conn
Pictures from a run on July 1st 2009. The map is below, but I ran from Cleveland Park to Georgia Avenue down to U Street back up through Adams Morgan and then over the Duke Ellington Bridge to Woodley Park. Finally I went back up Conn from WP to CP. The pictures are in reverse order from the end of the run to the beginning:
Some U Street Buildings; or maybe it was Florida Avenue.
I like pictures of baseball diamonds, this one was on Georgia Avenue and Euclid Street NW.
Proof that Euclid Street NW exists. I had a high school math teacher who would talk about Euclid streets during class for random reasons. Mr. Balliff: Expect this photo in the future.
Some businesses on Upshire just past Georgia Avenue.
Another baseball field on Georgia and Upshire.
Some graffiti alongside the road.
Same field on Upshire.
A bridge in Rock Creek Park. I think technically the bridge is in Pine Branch Park, which is a smaller offshoot of Rock Creek.
The bridge in the distance.
And the Map.

I lived for a year at East-West Highway and Rock Creek Parkway and drove the Parkway to G'town (and then across to Rosslyn) several times per week. That bridge pic looks verrry familiar.

The view is much better when there isn't traffic. The bridge is 16th Street going over the parkway.
