Run in the November Rain

It rained in DC yesterday; in November.  And not even the beginning of November: It rained on the 19th day of the month!  I doubt I’ll get used to rain that late in the year.  In North Dakota we were lucky if we saw sleet in November instead of inches of snow.1

I really like to run in the rain, and so I just couldn’t help myself yesterday.  It wasn’t raining all that hard, so I brought my camera.  A couple of these picture might have some fog or water droplets in them, but here they are anyway:

Looking down at the closed part of Klingle Road NW. The Marriot in Woodley Park. Rock Creek Park looking at the Taft Bridge. A much smaller bridge over Rock Creek. Leaves and Sream. More leaves. Wooden Bridge just before Dumbbarton Oaks Park. The park sign. I just thought the growth in front of the construction site was interesting. The path through Oaks Park was really muddy. At night in the rain this trial was really dreery. Probably shouldn't have run this alone. Looking down Wisconsin Avenue towards Georgtown. Nice little park where Wis. and Mass. Aves meet. National Cathedral National Cathedral again. Sepia National Cathedral. Cactus Cantina in Glover Park. Yum. Route of my run.

  1. For the record, I think my Dad told me it had rained in the first week of November this year in Fargo

That looks like a cool park to run in. I prefer trails to treadmills or road runs.
