The Twins start their final series of their mega road trip tied for first place in the AL Central tonight in Toronto. The probable starting pitchers:
Perkins (12-3)
Purcey (2-5)
Perkins has been decent this year, but his record really doesn’t reflect his overall effectiveness (he probably has fewer losses than he statistically should). Perkins currently sports a tRA+ of 91. Luckily for the Twins, David Purcey has been terrible for the Jays this year. Purcey currently has a tRA+ of 74. Purcey is a lefty, which could be a problem for the Twins, but the Twins need to find a way to beat bad pitchers on the road. Lets hope they figure Purcey out quickly.
