[Note: I’m sure you’ve already seen these lists going around the interwebs, so obviously this isn’t an original idea. But I still like the idea of posting ten random songs from your chosen music library. The rules are simple: Play your entire library of songs on random, and record the first ten that come up. No matter what 10 songs appear, post them.]
Here is my ten for Friday, February 13th, 2009:
- A Static Lullaby: …And Don’t Forget to Breathe – “Nightmares Win 6-0″
- Guster: Keep It Together – “Come Downstairs And Say Hello”
- Modest Mouse: Good News for People Who Love Bad News – “Bukowski”
- Garth Brooks: Sevens – “Two Pina Coladas”
- Yellowcard: Lights and Sounds – “Rough Landing, Holly”
- Unwritten Law: Here’s to the Mourning – “Because of You”
- Hanson: Middle of Nowhere – “Lucy”
- blink-182: Greatest Hits – “All the Small Things“
- Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon – “Brain Damage”
- Something Corporate: North – “Ruthless”
Crap I jinxed myself. Here’s what I said last week:
To be honest, I’m pretty happy with this list: MMMM Bop isn’t on there.
Damn Hanson. I knew that after mentioning MMMM Bop that one of their songs might pop up this week. I’m not even going to go into why I have that album on my computer besides to say that playing Hanson over and over again is a sure fire way to piss of your neighbors/roommates. Other than the Hanson travesty, I like the variance of this week’s list. I still remember the first time I heard Something Corporate. It happened to be live at a Summer festival and I was impressed how good they were live.
I’m surprised I haven’t more country and old music on these lists yet, but if I had to pick someone representative of that group, Garth Brooks would be my choice. If you didn’t see him perform during the HBO’s Pre-Inauguration Concert, you missed out.
What’s on your list for today?

Oh man, I hate "All the Small Things". Least favorite Blink song ever (although I did like some of their others).
